Christian Living Communities named Tim Rogers executive director, David Strain associate executive director, and Pamela Zimbelman director of nursing for the Johnson Center.  Jill Vitale-Aussen director, Cherie Neerhof associate director and Evelyn Haggerty director of nursing for the Clermont Park Community.  This facility is currently undergoing renovation.  The original, 1972 structure is being torn down to make way for a new, two-story, 64-suite skilled nursing neighborhood and the initial phase of a new Town Center, home to a community living room, library, game room, and the University Marketplace featuring a coffeehouse and casual dining. The new Suites at Clermont Park is anticipated to be completed by late 2010.

The Colorado Health Foundation granted $17.8 million to 15 community health centers statewide to support operating costs, construction projects and other needs.  The foundation said it is supporting health centers around the state at a time when their public funding is being cut. Last year, the cash-strapped state government reduced funding of health centers by $22 million.

“It’s clear the need for high-quality, coordinated health care services that include mental health, physical health and dental care for low-income, uninsured and under-insured Coloradans is desperate and growing,” Anne Warhover, the foundation’s president and CEO, said in a statement. “It’s also a fact that local community health centers that offer this full spectrum of care have proven to be cost-effective and high-quality care models upon which we can build.”
