HAPPENINGS FROM ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
Welcome To:
Our new client organizations:
Clean Water Coalition (CWC) was formed in November 2002. The original purpose of the CWC, to improve water quality in the Las Vegas Wash, Lake Mead and the Colorado River system, incorporated the Systems Conveyance and Operations Program (SCOP) as part of the water quality solution. SCOP encompasses the planning, design, financing, construction, and operation and maintenance of a regional wastewater collection and delivery system. This project would collect and transport highly treated effluent from the facilities of the four member agencies and discharge it either into the Las Vegas Wash as needed, or at the ultimate outfall location deep within the Colorado River system. Members of the CWC include:
- Clark County Water Reclamation District
- City of Las Vegas
- City of Henderson
- City of North Las Vegas
IMS, Insurance Management Services was formed in June 1983 with a mission of offering unequalled service for the self insured health benefits market. What started as a small business with manual claims administration has evolved into a full-service TPA with state-of-the-art automated systems. For 27 years IMS has been a leader in Health Benefit Administration for employer groups of all sizes. They are locally owned and operated exclusively out of Amarillo, Texas where they offer employees a positive business environment so that they can, in turn, offer clients superior service.
The newest member of the Account Management Team:
Aelana Day, Account Management Assistant:
Aelana is from a small town in Germany called Starnberg, where her American parents raised her and her older brother until she was 10 years old. They then moved to Colorado in the mid-nineties, and have lived there ever since. Having attended school in Aurora, Aelana began college at Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2006. She will graduate with a BS in Management by the end of this year. Aelana has a seven-year-old son named Taegen, and together they enjoy doing many things such as golfing, hiking, camping, playing games, doing arts/crafts, and going to water parks/swimming. Aelana is also a skier, and would like to learn to kayak sometime in the near future. “I am excited to be a part of Account Management, and am eager to start a future here at Mines and Associates.” We are very glad to welcome her to the team!
Best Wishes To:
Kevin Humphreys, as he gets ready to debark on an excursion to work in Antarctica for the upcoming Austral summer. Kevin has been part of the Account Management team since October of 2009. “I learned so much from being a part of Mines and Associates, and specifically from working in Account Management. They are a dedicated and caring team, who strive to help as many people as they can, every single day. I wish them all the best for the future!” Good luck, Kevin! May you not turn into an icicle!
